This tour begins at Lake Biograd. The beginning of the path is on the right side of the lake and after about a kilometer, you will notice a road sign towards Goleš Katun (katun is a small mountain village made of huts inhabited by shepherds in the summer). A steep mountain path leads uphill through untouched rainforest Biogradska Gora. After 4 kilometers, you come to a mountain pass from which you should go downhill to Goleš Katun, a famous shepherd katun which saved its centuries-long tradition and enriched it by opening its doors for tourist. It is possible to spend the night in Goleš, as well as to have a lunch or simply sit and enjoy some time with very hospitable hosts.
