Road Connection

It is very important to point out that in terms of traffic infrastructure Kolašin has an extraordinary position, as it relies on Trans-European road network. A part of that network – E – 763 (M – 21) from Serbian Border to Ribarevine joins the main direction of E roads in Montenegro, marked  E–80, i.e. E–65, which connect with Italy.

The following roads pass through Kolašin:

M–2 – Debeli Brijeg, Croatian Border, Herceg Novi – entrance, Petrovac, Podgorica, Kolašin, Mojkovac, Bijelo Polje, Berane, Rožaje, Špiljani, Serbian Border, which are marked as E-75 and E-80 in Trans-European road network.

M–9 – Kolašin, Mateševo, Andrijevica, Murino, Bjeluha, Serbian Border.  This road is categorized as main road.

M–21 – Serbian Border, Bijelo Polje, Ribarevina, marked as E–763 Trans-European road network.

Kolašin has a rather favorable touristic and geographic position and it is considered an important transit tourist center in Montenegro, since both Belgrade-Bar Railway and main road Podgorica-Belgrade pass through.

Nearest airport is located 80 kilometers from Kolašin. The airport is located in Golubovci, in the vicinity of Podgorica, the capital.

Railway Connection

Railway Belgrade-Bar passes through Kolašin. That is how Kolašin is connected with the Port of Bar, i.e. Adriatic Sea, whereas through Belgrade it is connected with Central Europe, and in one part with Western Europe, and in other part with Eastern Europe.
