This is one of the most unusual mountain tours, not only in Montenegro. Because of strategic importance, the Ex-Yugoslavia Army lead by colonel Jauković cut the road through the canyon, which was previously impassable. The untouched nature, and extraordinary beauty of this canyon where a mountain river passes through steep limestone cliffs, certainly is a valid reason to visit Mrtvica Canyon.
