Rafting on the Tara River

Montenegro is one of the most attractive destinations for rafting, simply because it is home to the deepest canyon in Europe and the second deepest in the world, the Tara River Canyon. It is possible to descend a length of 130 km continuously (in the months when the river water level is lower - August), which is one of the longest rafting tours in Europe. Rafting can be organized throughout the year, but not along the entire length of the river. Rafting on the Tara can be one-day or several days, depending on the length of the river being crossed, and is scheduled at local tourist agencies.
