Botanical Garden

Founded in 1981, the only botanical garden in Montenegro is located in Kolašin, a haven for over 400 plant species. This unique place focuses on the preservation of indigenous flora, especially from Bjelasica, Sinjavina, Komovi and Durmitor. These indigenous plants, adapted to the Montenegrin climate, are of vital importance to the country's ecosystem.

A 646 square meter garden teeming with botanical diversity. Over 400 species thrive here, including a significant number of endemics – plants found nowhere else on Earth. This emphasizes the role of the garden in preserving the irreplaceable botanical heritage of Montenegro.

Over 80% plant species have medicinal properties, demonstrating the potential of Montenegrin flora. These plants have value in both traditional medicine and modern scientific research.

The Botanical Garden goes beyond a conservation center and functions as an educational resource. It is a place to ignite curiosity about the botanical world and appreciate the beauty and diversity of Montenegro's unique flora.
