Gradite, Vranova Glava 2,215 m a.s.l.
Trail start: 1,360 m a.s.l., Ropuica at the foot of the Vratlo Pass, about one hundred meters after passing the Ropuica spring. Destination: Vranova Glava 2,215 m, the highest peak of Gradite. Gradite-Gradita, Vranova Glava 2,215 m is the second highest peak of the Sinjavina mountain range, right after Torna 2,277 m. The access road to Vranova Glava Gradite is 16.3 km long.
After about 2 km on the main road Kolain-Mojkovac-Bijelo Polje, you reach an intersection in the village of Bakovii, where you turn left onto an asphalt local road leading toward the village of Lipovo.
To reach the Vratlo mountain pass 1,737 m , the trail goes partly through shortcuts, using an old shepherds path, which shortens the distance by a few kilometers, as the macadam road continues towards the mountaa- in pass. About 400 m from the Vratlo mountain pass, you will come to an intersection near the place called Smrdan, where there is a small circular reservoir and a small accumulation of water. From here, you should turn left toward the Jemen Do katun, Gradite Vranova Glava, and Potrk and Krn- ja Jela katuns avnik municipality the road to the right continues toward Grkovo Jablanov peak and further to Ruica. From Smrdan to the Jemen Do katun is only about 300 m. The last ascent starts from the last hut on Jemen Do towards the peak Vranova glava.
After passing the first half of the trail from Jemen Do, you come above a spacious hollow where there is a small water accumulation. The trail climbs steeply along the ridge above the hollow, and this is the most challenging part of the trail.
Upon reaching the mountain pass, an extraordinary view opens up towards the peak of Torna Babin Zub as well as the beautiful grassy slopes of Gradite that steeply descend toward the south.
To reach the highest peak of Gradite - Vranova Glava, from the mountain pass you go right, climbing diagonally up the grassy slope without major issues until you reach the summit. The summit is rocky, grassy, spacious, and safe.
By using a motor vehicle, it is possible to reach, via the described access road, through the Vratlo mountain pass, the Jemen Do katun at 1,730 m, which makes it much easier to ascend to the Gradite Vranova Glava peak. This way, you can shorten the trail by about 3.6 km and reduce the elevation gain by about 370 m.
