It preserves the most complete testimony of the life and history of Kolašin and the surrounding areas. It is located in the very center of the city, and it can be said that the museum building itself is a valuable monument. The building was built in 1903. It housed the administration and headquarters of the Kolašin district, while during World War II it served as a prison. It was converted into a museum in 1982, and it consists of a historical and ethnographic collection of exhibits, as well as a valuable collection of paintings.
