Gorštak Basketball Club was founded on 2nd June 1986. The club has five competing sections: seniors, juniors, cadets, pioneers and junior pioneers. There is also a school of basketball for girls and boys not old enough to compete.
This club was a starting point for Vlado Šćepanović – world and European champion, Nebojša Bogavac, Darko Peković, Goran Todić, Dragan Pejić, Aleksandar Dulović, Marko Rakočević, Žarko Rakočević, Sveto Peković, Boban Medenica, Goran Bulatović, Ivan Stojković, Milutin Bulatović, Ognjen Šćepanović.
The club has four coaches covering all competing categories.
