Gusar is a lesser-known peak in the southeastern part of the Sinjavina mountain range. It is the closest peak to the Tara River valley of all the peaks in Sinjavina, providing an extraordinary view of the Kolain from its summit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the center of Kolasin to the trail start, there is a 6 km asphalt road. After about 2 km on the main road Kolasin-Mojkovac-Bijelo Polje, you reach an intersection in the Bakovii village, where you turn left onto an asphalt local road leading toward the village of Lipovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hiking tour begins from the local road Kolain-Lipovo in the center of Lipovska Bistrica. Immediately after crossing the bridge over the Bistrica River, the road continues left toward Lipovo, while to the right, a macadam road leads toward drijelo and a nearby small hydroelectric power station. Near this intersection, there is a house next to which there is an area where you can park your vehicle. The first approximately 200 m of the trail follows the macadam road toward the mini-power station and then turns left, climbing above the small hydroelectric power station and entering a forest. After about 700 m from the start, the trail, partly through the forest and turns left, entering a clearly visible shepherds path that continues upward along the left slope of the hollow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trail emerges at drijelo, which offers an excellent view of the Lipovska Bistrica toward the town of Kolain. After crossing drijelo, the trail leads to a gentle plateau, Luka Gora, rich in pastures. For the next slightly more than 1 km, the trail passes through the valley and reaches a gravel road, which begins in the village of Vojkovii, about 300 m before Lipovska Bistrica, and serpentines upward toward Luka Gora, reaching Savina Voda, an artificial lake beneath the peaks of Sinjavina, Savina Greda, and Jablanov peak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the next 1.5 km, the trail to the summit of Gusar follows this macadam road, then at the Boji katun, trail leaves the main road and turns right toward the huts at the katun. For the next 3.4 km, the final ascent goes northeast, for a relatively easy climb to the summit of Gusar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The summit has rocky and grassy terrain, is spacious, and is safe. Using a motor vehicle, it is possible to reach the Boji village household at 1,530 m via the previously described gravel road, making it much easier to ascend to the Gusar peak. After 3 km from the turnoff from the main road to the local road in Bakovii, you arrive at the village of Vojkovii, where you should turn right onto the gravel road leading toward Luka Gora, the Boji katun, and beyond. The distance from Vojkovii to the Boji katun is about 7.5 km, overcoming an elevation gain of approximately 550 m.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
