Gusar is a little-known peak in the south-east of Mount Sinjavin. It is the closest of all Sinjavin's peaks to the Tara River valley, and from its summit there is an outstanding view of the Kola\u0161in Basin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the center of Kolasin to the trail start, there is a 6 km asphalt road. After about 2 km on the main road Kolasin-Mojkovac-Bijelo Polje, you reach an intersection in the Bakovii village, where you turn left onto an asphalt local road leading toward the village of Lipovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hiking tour begins on the local road from Kola\u0161in to Lipovo in the centre of the settlement of Lipovska Bistrica. Immediately after crossing the bridge over the Bistrica river, the road to the left continues towards Lipovo, while a gravel road branches off to the right leading towards \u017ddrijelo, to the nearby small hydroelectric power station. Near this junction there is a house with a roadside lay-by where you can park. The first 200 metres of the trail follow a gravel road towards the micro-hydroelectric plant, then turn left up the slope above the small hydroelectric power station, passing to the right of the water intake, and enter a sparse forest. After about 700 m from the start, the path, partly through sparse woodland and partly across bare ground, turns left, climbs steeply and enters a clearly visible shepherd's path which continues upwards along the left-hand slope of the valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trail emerges at drijelo, which offers an excellent view of the Lipovska Bistrica toward the town of Kolain. After crossing drijelo, the trail leads to a gentle plateau, Luka Gora, rich in pastures. For the next slightly more than 1 km, the trail passes through the valley and reaches a gravel road, which begins in the village of Vojkovii, about 300 m before Lipovska Bistrica, and serpentines upward toward Luka Gora, reaching Savina Voda, an artificial lake beneath the peaks of Sinjavina, Savina Greda, and Jablanov peak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the next 1.5 km, the trail to the summit of Gusar follows this gravel road, then at the Boji\u0107a hut it leaves the road and turns right towards the huts on the meadow. The final 3.4 km follows the last ascent across the open, barren slopes, bearing slightly south-east, by which route the summit of Gusar is reached without major difficulty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The summit is stony and grassy, spacious and safe. By using the fairly good macadam road described above, it is possible to reach the Boji\u0107 shepherd's hut at 1,530 m a.s.l., which makes the ascent to the Gusar summit much easier. After 3 km from turning off the main road onto the local road in Bakovi\u0107i, you reach the village of Vojkovi\u0107i, where you should turn right onto the gravel road that leads towards Lu\u010dka Gora, Katun Boji\u0107a and onwards. From Vojkovi\u0107i to Katun Boji\u0107a is about 7.5 km, covering an elevation gain of around 550 m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
