Kom Ljevorecki is the second-highest summit of the Komovi mountain massif. Together with Kom Kucki, it belongs to the group of the ten highest and most impressive peaks in Montenegro. The ascent to Kom Ljevorecki is both a true hiking challenge and a rewarding experience.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n

The approach to Kom Ljevorecki from the direction of Kolasin is the same as for Kom Vasojevicki and Kom Kucki.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n

The trail starts from the Stavna plateau. At first, it follows a gravel road leading to the base of Kom Vasojevicki. The path for Kom Ljevorecki branches off slightly to the right about 150 meters before the wooden shelter. After leaving the forest near Martinovici katun, the trail continues uphill across open terrain toward the west for about 400 m, crossing a gravel road that leads to Labovic\u2019s hut. Above this road, the trail follows part of the circular route around the Komovi for another 100 m, then turns left toward Kom Ljevorecki, which is clearly visible from the plateau. For the next 1.2 km, the trail ascends gently toward the southwest across firm grassy terrain. It first reaches a plateau with a small spring, then continues through a narrow dip and emerges onto a broader plateau. This section is easy to walk, with mixed grassy and rocky terrain.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n

From the valley, the final ascent begins up a steep grassy and rocky slope toward the summit. The grass is short and the slope wide, allowing you to choose your path while following the trail markings.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n

There are still over 250 meters of ascent remaining. You traverse left along the edge of the rocks for several dozen meters, then continue straight upward over scree or small stone slabs. This section is quite demanding, with a steep incline and unstable terrain.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n

Eventually, you reach a saddle where the summit of Kom Ljevorecki appears straight ahead, while a lower peak rises to the left. The trail continues forward just below the rock walls for several dozen meters. On the saddle between the two peaks, there is a cone-shaped rock formation. The trail passes below it and reaches the base of the summit. This entire section requires caution.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n

The most demanding part follows. The initial climb near the rocks requires the use of hands for climbing. It is advisable to put down at least one trekking pole and possibly your backpack before proceeding. The trail continues close to the edge of cliffs that drop steeply into the valley on the left. A final dozen meters lead to the summit.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n

The summit is rocky, spacious, and safe. It offers outstanding panoramic views of the Komovi massif, the Kucke Mountains, Prokletije, Bjelasica, Kljuc, Ostrvica, Sinjavina, the Moraca Mountains, Maganik, Prekornica, Kamenik, and many other mountain ranges.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final ascent to Kom Ljevorecki is possible only from this direction. However, access to Ljuban katun is also possible via the circular Komovi trail from the directions of Rogami, Strmenica, and Ljubastica.<\/p>\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
